Privacy Policy

Effective September 13, 2026. Ichigo Ichie ("we") is operated by Make Your Life Sweeter. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@lifehappensinperson.com.

What we collect from hosts (people with accounts): your name, email address, password (stored hashed) or Google sign-in identity, an optional photo, city, and the invitations, experiences, people, circles, intentions, birthdays, trips, and notes you choose to create. This information exists so the product can do what you asked: help you make time with people you know. Your People, circles, intentions, notes, and trips are private to you and are never shown to the people they describe.

What we collect from guests (people who open an invitation): the name and email address they enter, an optional phone number, the experience and time they choose, and any note or photo they choose to share. Guests do not need an account. Their private link is the only way to view or change their moment.

Google Calendar. If a host connects Google Calendar, we request permission to read free/busy information and to create and update calendar events. We use this only to (1) hide times that are already taken so guests only see open times, and (2) add each saved moment to the calendar the host chose, with the guest as an attendee. We never read, store, or display the titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations of the host's other events, and we never use calendar data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the one above. Ichigo Ichie's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Hosts can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored access tokens; they can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Email. We send transactional email only: confirmations, changes, cancellations, a reminder on the day of a moment, and a thank-you afterwards. We do not send marketing email and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Service providers. We use Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Vercel Blob (photo storage), Resend (email), and Google (sign-in and calendar). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. Data is stored in the United States. Access tokens are encrypted at rest.

Retention and deletion. Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Settings; this removes your profile, calendar connection and tokens, People, and photos, and anonymises past moments so guests' history stays intact without your identity. Guests can ask us to delete their information by emailing hello@lifehappensinperson.com.

Favorites and the private "Us" page. A person may choose to share a few likes (food, dietary needs and allergies, colors, sizes, gift ideas) with someone who makes time for them. These are shown only to the people that person chooses: hosts whose private link they opened, or, if they are a member and choose so, people they have made time with. They are never sold, never used for advertising, never included in counts shared with venues, and are deleted with the account or on request. The "Us" page is reached by a private link its owner can reset or turn off at any time. Ichigo Ichie is for adults; do not send links to children.

Your choices. You control what you enter, whether to connect a calendar, and what you share. You can export or correct your information by contacting us. We do not use tracking advertising or sell data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes. If this policy changes materially, we will note the new effective date here and, for significant changes, tell hosts by email.
